Join us for a wonderful conversation on Dr. Brené Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection. We have had many discussions this year on a variety of topics that we’ll touch on today:
Authenticity
Self-Compassion
Resilience
Gratitude
Play & Rest
I don’t think we need to introduce the author of this book. Dr. Brene Brown is an LMSW, writer and research professor at the University of Houston. The Gifts of Imperfection was published in 2010. Each Guidepost in the book has a DIG Deep section. DIG is an acronym for Deliberate, Inspired, and Going. Dr. Brown challenges us to get deliberate in our thoughts and behaviors, inspired to make new and different choices and finally, to act (get going).
So often, we have preconceived ideas of who we are supposed to be. How do we learn to embrace and love who we are? During this book club, Vesime and I wrestle with these topics and many more.
We hope you are enjoying these conversations and that we are planting seeds in your mind and heart that will empower you to become your best self, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It’s a never-ending journey of growth.
Until next time, be well.
