Move More: Sunday Seedlings

One of the Perfectly Pl@nted Health Principles is "Get active and stay active". In our last Sunday Seedling we shared lessons learned from some of the planets move long lived communities; the Blue Zones. In the Blue Zone being active does not involve going to the gym or running road races. Our advice is to find a way to make it easy to move more throughout your day and to strive to be active at least 30 minutes a day. It's hard, we know! There are days when you might sit at your desk for 8+ hours. How can you find time to be active? We shared some of our thoughts and would enjoy reading yours in the comments below. Parking farther away from the building. Taking the stairs. Doing stretches at your desk. Scheduling a walking meeting at work. Taking a walk after dinner.

What are your SMART goals to move more? No, not your New Year's Resolution. SMART goals are goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound. We talk a little bit about SMART goals in the 10 minute health snack and will share more about them in an upcoming post.

If you missed our last Sunday Seedling where we shared some thoughts about how to move more, we encourage you to listen to our livestream. Thank you for spending time with us. Our next livestream will be on Sunday, February 13 at 1130 am ET/1030 am CT. We hope you'll join us for our next 10 minute health snack.

Be well.
